Alaska's Department of Fish & Game has been active online for years. Recently the Department has stepped up its online presence by starting a new short video series called Working For Wildlife. Assistant director of the Department, Kristen Romanoff, is leading the new endeavor.
Since April of this year the team of biologist have produced videos on the survival rates of baby Musk Ox, the grouse and ptarmigan populations, and Brown Bear studies. These videos really help anchor the general public to the Department of Fish and Game.
Wildlife editors are becoming YouTubers as they gather data such as video footage, photos and scripts to compile these educational videos. Wildlife in Alaska has always been fascinating to people so this is a great window into the world of researchers and biologist as they go about their work in Alaska.
